About the Beachside

The owners of The Beachside, the Cependa's, carefully selected the location to build their dream. They were excited to secure such a picturesque setting on Wapasu Lake – as it is the only spring fed, sandy beach, fresh water lake in a nature conservancy off the Yellowhead Highway from Lloydminster to Edmonton.

Wapasu lakefront is a terrific place for recreation or relaxation on a summer day. The park has a cookhouse, picnic tables, fire pits, ball diamond and horse shoe pits. The amazing sandy beach is ideal for sunbathing, sand castle building, a game of volleyball and swimming.

To pass the time away during the winter months, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, skating or just curling under a warm blanket and sipping a cup of hot chocolate while reading a book are some of the activities awaiting you.

The scenic view from The Beachside's deck is always breathtaking! Many hours have been spent just sitting in amazement at the wonder of nature.

Wildlife and berries adorn the edges of the 8km.walking trail. The lake area is an excellent area for bird watching – White Swans, Great Blue Herons, Bald Eagles, and numerous song birds have been sighted (one summer, almost 200 varieties were identified!).

The Beachside is 2555sq. ft. accessible, home that was completed in June 2006. While Ron & Holly moved in July, they were not open for business until September 2006. The Beachside has three guest rooms with all the comforts of home IE: superb beds (double, queen & king sizes) and bedding, ensuites with jacuzzi tubs, cots & playpens if needed, internet, access to common areas indoors or outdoors.(See the photo section for a peak at the rooms) The Beachside is a great location for a special family occasion or an intimate get-away - from family fun to a romantic evening - Holly & Ron will make the occasion a special one!
